What are we talking about?
It offers the possibility of discovering the country, the culture and at the same time improving one’s language skills.
During their stay, the student will participate in each of the school’s activities like any other student and may, upon return to his country, validate the time spent in the selected country with his local authorities.
Accommodation during their studies will be with a host family supervised by a team of local representatives. It includes room and board, with 3 meals a day. This High School program is a great opportunity for young students to explore the country and learn more about its traditions, culture and history.
Better knowledge of the world for successful adaptation
You will learn to adapt to many situations and this contact with students of another nationality will allow you to assert your personality through your efforts of communication and integration. Little by little, you will gain independence and maturity. Being able to express yourself in a foreign language is a great advantage for your future.
How will my future host family be ?
There is no better way to immerse yourself in another culture than to live with a host family. You will live with her as if you were in your own family. You will have at your disposal a room (which could be shared with a person of the same sex) and meals.
All families participating in the program are supervised by a local coordinator. The family can be located in any region of France (small or large city) and you will have to accept the placement that we will offer you.
France
Age : 14 years old -18 years old
Language level : « B1 » in French (possibility to come with an A2 if you take French lessons before the start of the school year).

Schools
Schools can be located in public or private establishments. Students will spend 5 days a week at school, usually 8:00 am. at 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m., in lessons with French classmates. All courses are given in French.
Depending on their age (14-15 years) the director of the school will make the last determination as to the level of schooling the student will be taking.
They generally take courses in French literature, foreign languages, history, mathematics, economics and science.
Students placed in first class (16-17 years old) will be enrolled in one of the following academic tracks: literature, economics or science.
As in your country, each family and each school (public or private) has its own rules and it will therefore be important to respect them. You will be a member of the family (like a brother or a sister) and you will therefore have to actively participate in all the activities and above all, do not miss school!

Schools
England is recognized for the excellent quality of its teaching.The English school system is divided into several sections :
– Nursery school,
– Primary school,
– Secondary School (middle and high school),
– University.
The system is based on 2 types of establishments: State schools and public schools. High schools are less formal today than before, but a dress code and respect for the authority of the teaching staff are still required. Young English people attend Secondary School up to the age of 16. Then, they can continue with a two-year course in a Sixth Form College or in certain Secondary Schools in order to pass their A-Level (baccalaureate). For the A-Level exam, students can choose their subjects.
The school year lasts from August-September to June-July, depending on the school.
Classes in high school are generally Monday to Friday. A school day lasts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
In addition to the education provided, schools encourage high school students to participate in sports, to get involved in all kinds of clubs and activities. It’s a great way to make friends and integrate.

Germany
Schools
Germany is recognized for the excellent quality of its teaching.The school system in Germany consists of four types of schools:
- The Gymnasium (general education)
- The Realschule: oriented towards scientific subjects
- The Hauptchule: prepares for entry to the Gymnasium
- Gesamtschule: a combination of the 3 other schools
Young French people and other foreigners are educated in Realschule or Gymnasium.
The school year in Germany consists of two semesters :
-The first: from mid-August to the end of January
-The second: from February to the end of June
In addition to the education provided, schools encourage high school students to participate in sports, to get involved in all kinds of clubs and activities. It’s a great way to make friends, and these activities help you integrate well. A day in German high school mostly focuses on the morning, the hours of classes are plentiful, and school starts early. The afternoons are free and allow young people to participate in extracurricular activities such as sport, music, theater, etc…
